Australian audience are generally more reserved so it's pretty rare to hear cheers in cinema. I do remember people gave applause as the end credit rolls in The Dark Knight Rises. #MovieCheers pic.twitter.com/JZE0rCEPE8

Not during the movie, but the pre-roll trivia on opening night for The Phantom Menace, audience full of college fans.
Random question comes up: "Who voiced Darth Vader in Star Wars?" Moment of silence, someone yells, "Think we're fucking stupid?"
Audience goes crazy. #MovieCheers

The first time I ever experienced this was the summer of ‘77, when Star Wars was released. Spontaneous cheering erupted when the Millennium Falcon returned at the end for Luke’s Death Star run.

It seemed the natural thing to do. #MovieCheers

#moviecheers big ones in Endgame, but the loudest, most theater unifying cheer I’ve ever been part of on an opening night was the reveal of Enterprise A at the end of STIV. After everything the crew went through, seeing that and hearing the classic series fanfare was awesome.
