I've experienced #MovieCheers twice. The first time was watching Starship Troopers which was a legit surprise, the second time was when I saw A Knight's Tale in England and it happened a multiple points. Death by movie riot was in the cards that night. The English are nutters. https://t.co/AG9BWrdwCK

When I saw the first Avengers it was part of a big day long marathon the theater put on. After a dozen hours we all kind of knew each other and we were cheering and applauding at the big battle like I had never experienced. Maybe my favorite movie going experience #MovieCheers

Opening night. When Blade (1998) sliced Deacon Frost in half and he reformed, Blade mouths "what the fuck" and the whole packed theater shouted WHAT THE FUCK in unison. It was awesome.#MovieCheers pic.twitter.com/supztUwa2P

The big whodunit reveal in Knives Out at LFF. One of the best festival moments I've ever experienced. Was obvious the audience was having an absolute riot the whole time too. #MovieCheers https://t.co/78hEh0QiBQ

During an anniversary screening of Withnail and I, everyone shouted ‘Monty you terrible c*nt!’ along with the film and cheered uproariously. It was a heartwarming moment. #MovieCheers https://t.co/QDc8ew5JAv

Few things as essentially English as thinking spontaneous expressions of joy are something to be ashamed of… but Legolas taking down the mûmakil in Return of the King got a huge round of #MovieCheers when I saw it in London. Also Han & Chewie in The Force Awakens. It happens. 🙂

When Snails died in Dungeons & Dragons.

It was already a full theater live version of MST3K by 15 minutes into the film, but the audience was actually on its feet cheering during this scene.

#MovieCheers So like, this is actually extremely rare in the UK. It's generally something we see as kinda pointless, given that the people who made the movie aren't actually there to be cheered. That said, I've seen it happen twice; LOTR Return of the King, and Avengers Endgame.

— Alison Cybe (@AlisonCybe) September 19, 2021

Rocky Horror Picture Show. Was amazing the first time I went to a midnight showing.

Avengers EndGame. The last battle with Thanos with everyone showing up to help Cap and friends. Such loud cheering.

The Mummy (Brendan Fraser and Oded Fehr) Because it was good!#moviecheers

I was pretty young when Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country was in theaters, and it was my first big screen Star Trek experience

"ALIENS" Opening Night, NYC. When Sigourney Weaver came out in the Power Loader, and uttered, "GET AWAY FROM HER…YOU BITCH!!!", to the Alien Queen. To this day, I never seen so many people scream, clap, and popcorn flying in the air. That theater went INSANE!#MovieCheers

"We got you now, you son of a bitch" – at an IMAX screening for The Dark Knight. This was like beginning of September 2008, so like every person in the audience had probably already seen it. Hell, it was my fifth time. We all still went nuts. #MovieCheers https://t.co/fxAvW0cPFe
