I’ve experienced #MovieCheers twice. The first time was watching Starship Troopers which was a legit surprise, the second time was when I saw A Knight’s Tale in England and it happened a multiple points. Death by movie riot was in the cards that night. The English are nutters. https://t.co/AG9BWrdwCK

When I saw the first Avengers it was part of a big day long marathon the theater put on. After a dozen hours we all kind of knew each other and we were cheering and applauding at the big battle like I had never experienced. Maybe my favorite movie going experience #MovieCheers

Few things as essentially English as thinking spontaneous expressions of joy are something to be ashamed of… but Legolas taking down the mûmakil in Return of the King got a huge round of #MovieCheers when I saw it in London. Also Han & Chewie in The Force Awakens. It happens. 🙂

#MovieCheers So like, this is actually extremely rare in the UK. It’s generally something we see as kinda pointless, given that the people who made the movie aren’t actually there to be cheered. That said, I’ve seen it happen twice; LOTR Return of the King, and Avengers Endgame.

Rocky Horror Picture Show. Was amazing the first time I went to a midnight showing.
Avengers EndGame. The last battle with Thanos with everyone showing up to help Cap and friends. Such loud cheering.
